I’ve used this breath for myself A LOT – and I’ve taught it to my boys – who have found it helpful when they are upset, have hurt themselves or feel sick with a stomach ache or headache.
If your babe is upset – try the Shoo-Eee breath – it may help quiet them down – not only because of the sound of it – but because doing the sound itself is helping you ground and center. You may also notice that your inhales feel fuller after a few rounds.
We are all unique and what one person finds calming another person may not. So if you try this and it doesn’t seem helpful – try it again with as little effort as possible around the sounding and the length of the exhale….and try it silently too.
